I’m one of those people who love to collect things... pottery, ribbons, and especially glass paperweights. My shelves are now officially full, so I’ve put the habit on hold, but I have been lucky to become friends with one of the greatest paperweight makers in the world, Jim Hart. The photo above shows one of his many works. Glass paperweights are meant to be so entirely perfect, and you can appreciate that when you hold them. These paintings, on the other hand, are just meant to be simple treasures.
