Growing up, Patty and Marguerite lived down the street and for some reason allowed me to come by whenever
I wanted, taught me arts & crafts, helped me publish
my first newspaper on their mimeograph machine,
let me help in the garden and wrap coffee cans for the peanut brittle season in winter. Two of the nicest people in the world, they were retired professors from Sarah Lawrence College, and they taught me more than I’ll probably ever realize. Just great, great ladies.
